Something About You by Julie James is the 1st book in her FBI/US Attorney series.
This is the first book in her most popular series. The story is basically about a female who works as an assistant US Attorney and FBI agent Jack Pallas.
The two have had a rocky past and a strong fire between them. You can almost feel the heat between them coming off of the pages of this book.
There is one thing you can say about Julie James and that she is a perfectionist. When it comes to her writing skill it’s top notch. I doubt you’ll ever find a single flaw in the way she writers … not a comma out of place, ever. That I respect and wished I had the skill myself.
Like all of her books you’ll find the dialog witty and the female characters powerful — all well educated and strong women.
I also like the fact that her books are realistic. The things that happen in this book could really happen. Far to many books aren’t well researched and you will never say that about Julie James. She knows what she is talking about.
If you are looking for a great romance series that involve professionals, each strong and independent in their own way, then this is the series for you and you’ll see by this first book just how great the entire series will be.

FATE HAS THROWN TWO SWORN ENEMIES…
Of all the hotel rooms rented by all the adulterous politicians in Chicago, female Assistant U.S. Attorney Cameron Lynde had to choose the one next to 1308, where some hot-and-heavy lovemaking ends in bloodshed. And of all the FBI agents in Illinois, it had to be Special Agent Jack Pallas who gets assigned to this high-profile homicide. The same Jack Pallas who still blames Cameron for a botched crackdown three years ago—and nearly ruining his career…
…INTO EACH OTHER’S ARMS
Work with Cameron Lynde? Are they kidding? Maybe, Jack thinks, this is some kind of welcome-back prank after his stint away from Chicago. But it’s no joke: the pair is going to have to put their rocky past behind them and focus on the case at hand. That is, if they can cut back on the razor-sharp jibes—and smother the flame of their sizzling-hot sexual tension…
